Symptoms of endodontics?

Endodontics is a disease of the pulp tissue, including pulpitis, pulp necrosis, and pulp degeneration. Pulp tissue is in the hard tissue of the tooth, only through the apical hole, auxiliary root canal and external contact, pulp acute inflammation, blood vessel congestion, exudate accumulation, resulting in increased pressure in the medullary cavity, so that the nerve is compressed, and the stimulation of inflammatory exudate makes the pain extremely intense.

Endodontic diseases can be divided into acute, chronic, pulp degeneration, pulp necrosis, and gangrene. In the acute phase, the pain is severe and unbearable, characterized by spontaneous pain, paroxysmal pain, and nocturnal pain. Persistent throbbing and dispersing pain may also occur, which can be dispersed to the ear-temporal area, similar to migraine. Patients with disease attacks are restless, and pulpitis significantly affects the patient's sleep, work and study.

During the examination, the patient cannot accurately indicate the tooth position. There is decay, and the pulp can be vibrant. There is filling, no percussion. Temperature, chemical irritation, and mechanical stress can trigger pain. Perforation and pulp polyps may be present. Pulp degeneration, necrosis, tooth discoloration. Pulp degeneration, necrosis, mostly asymptomatic, not related to temperature stimulation. In patients with pulp gangrene, the pulp can be smelled when the pulp is opened, and the pulp is not vigorous. After pulp degeneration, pulp stones are formed, which can cause pain due to transposition, or can be dispersed to the head and face, much like trigeminal neuralgia.

How can endodontics be prevented?

1. Maintain oral hygiene, brush teeth in the morning and evening, and gargle after meals is an important part; A good oral hygiene environment reduces the accumulation of tartar and the proliferation of bacteria. The correct way to brush your teeth is: brush in the direction between the teeth, brush the upper teeth from top to bottom, the lower teeth from the bottom up, and brush the inside, outside and chewing surface of the root teeth.

2. Remove tartar regularly to keep the teeth clean and smooth, and food debris is not easy to re-attach.

3. Strengthen physical exercise and combine work and rest.
